SengSo Metallic 2x2 M is a magnetic 2x2 cube from ShengShou with a shiny metallic surface. Mechanically, it is a simple, classic design from this manufacturer. Two things set it apart from ordinary 2x2s: factory-installed magnets and metallized piece surfaces. This model is also sold as the ShengShou Legend 2x2 M Metallic. The "M" in the name stands for the magnetic version.

How it turns

The cube turns smoothly right out of the box, and it feels more controllable than very fast. The magnets help each layer settle into place. Every turn clearly "clicks" into position, so it's easier to avoid overshooting and the lockups that happen on non-magnetic 2x2s when a layer isn't fully aligned. Metallic finish

The faces have a mirror-like metallized coating in stickerless bright colors, so the colors are vivid and shiny. This surface looks striking, but it is more delicate than regular plastic. M version or non-magnetic?

The Metallic 2x2 is also available in a non-magnetic version. The look is the same; the difference is in how it behaves while turning. The M version is more precise and easier to control at higher turning speeds. The non-magnetic version turns more loosely and less precisely. For learning and regular solving, the magnetic version is usually the better choice.
