Speed Stacks Pro Series 2 Cups

Speed Stacks Pro Series 2 Cups

Speed Stacks Pro Series 2 Cups are a set of 12 original sport stacking cups from Speed Stacks. The set also includes a stem that you slide the cups onto for carrying. The Pro Series was designed for stackers who train against the clock and want to improve their times. The main difference from the classic cups is the design of the bottom.

What is sport stacking?

In sport stacking, you build cups into set stacks (e.g. pyramids of 3, 6 or 10 cups) and then take them down as fast as possible. Times are measured on a mat with a timer. Cubers know this gear well, because Speed Stacks timers are also the standard in speedcubing. The sport was born in the United States and is still most popular there, but the number of stackers in Poland is growing too, especially among children and teenagers. Regular stacking trains speed, dexterity and motor coordination, and competing is a lot of fun along the way.

What makes the Pro Series 2 cups special

The key difference is the bottom without a centre section, meaning a large opening at the base of the cup. Classic cups have only a small hole there. When you collapse a stack, air escapes more easily from between the cups, so they slide into each other faster and stick less. This is most noticeable when downstacking. The cups are made of impact-resistant plastic, and their shape is designed for smooth stacking. The Pro Series was developed in cooperation with top stackers.

Colour variants

The PS2x versions (Clear, White, Golden, Metallic Lime, Aquamarine, Light Blue) have a print only on the top ridge of the cup, so the surface is smooth where you grip it. The Si Eun Kim variant is a signature Pro Series 2 edition, named after the Korean stacker and world record holder. Mechanically, all versions share the same PS2 design. The choice of colour mainly comes down to which one you like best.

Approved for competitions

According to WSSA (World Sport Stacking Association) rules, only Speed Stacks cups may be used at official competitions. The company has been making sport stacking equipment for over 20 years, so the cups in this set are suitable both for training at home and for competing in tournaments.

Who is it for?

The Pro Series 2 works best for stackers who have already mastered the basic sequences and want to improve their times. For complete beginners, especially the youngest ones, the classic Speed Stacks set is also enough.

The dimensions and weight in the specifications refer to a single cup. Each cup is approx. 9.6 cm tall, approx. 7.8 cm in diameter and weighs approx. 20 g.
