The Valk 2 2x2x2 Magnetic
A magnetic 2x2 from the Valk series with a 51 mm edge and a solid, slightly heavier feel. Magnets placed like in a 3x3 cube make the layers align predictably without double-clicking. Tension is adjusted with screws, and an extra set of springs is included.
The Valk 2 2x2x2 Magnetic
The Valk 2 2x2x2 Magnetic (Valk 2 M) is the first 2x2 in QiYi's Valk series, the same series that the well-known Valk 3 3x3 cubes come from. It is a magnetic 2x2 speed cube that is legal for official competitions. You can choose from two colour versions: Black and Stickerless Bright.Size and feel
The edge length is 51 mm, so the cube is a bit larger than typical 2x2s and sits better in your hand. It weighs approx. 82 g. It is solidly built and feels heavier in the hand than newer, lighter 2x2s. If you are used to very light 2x2 cubes, this may not suit you at first. Others see it as an advantage, because the cube gives you more control during fast turning.Magnets placed like in a 3x3
In most magnetic 2x2s, the magnets sit only in the corners. In the Valk 2 M, the magnets are placed in the inner edges and corners of the pieces, similar to 3x3 cubes. As a result, the magnets act over a shorter part of the turn, the layer snaps into place more predictably, and the double-click effect known from some other 2x2s is greatly reduced. In practice, the cube is more stable and it is easier to land each move exactly where you want it.The design is similar to the WuXia. It offers good corner cutting, and the pieces hold together more securely, so there are no random lockups caused by play between the pieces.
Adjustment and setup
Tension is set with adjustment screws, and an extra set of springs is included.-A note from an owner of this cube-
Straight out of the box, the cube is on the slower side. After fitting the extra springs from the set and slightly loosening the screws, it becomes very fast while losing little stability. So it is worth spending a moment on setup before you judge its speed.

Po wyjęciu z pudełka bardzo zbita i ciężko chodzi, ale po regulacji i porządnym przesmarowaniu jest świetna. Magnesy są idealne, kostka fajnie ścina. Wersja z naklejkami ma bardzo przyjemne, jaskrawe kolory.

Naprawdę nie trzeba mieć żadnych wątpliwości jeśli chodzi o zakup tej kostki. Jest tylko jedno ale, czyli to że jest do dość wolna kość jak na 2x2x2. Nie podpasuje każdemu, więc przed zakupem obejrzyj jakiś film np. recenzję i się zastanów. Ta kostka spełniła wszystkie moje oczekiwania. Nie polecam osobom zaawansowanym które mają czasy poniżej pięciu sekund.
