YJ 3x3 9pcs Mosaic Cube

YJ 3x3 9pcs Mosaic Cube

YJ 3x3 9pcs Mosaic Cube is a mosaic set: nine 5.6 cm 3x3 cubes and a stand with a 3x3 grid. These cubes are not for breaking records. You use their faces to build a picture made of "pixels". Nine cubes with 9 squares per face give you a 9x9 canvas, which means 81 coloured squares. That is enough for simple pixel art, icons, letters or a small logo.

How a cube mosaic is made

You set a pattern on one face of each cube so that the full picture appears when all nine stand side by side. The cubes are stickerless bright, so the colour is in the plastic itself. You have the six standard cube colours to work with. The plastic has a matte finish and medium grip, and since there are no stickers, nothing peels or wears off, even after long sessions of turning.

The set includes cubes from the YJ GuanLong V4 series, a simple budget model. They are perfectly fine for building patterns. For speedcubing practice, though, you're better off buying a separate magnetic cube.

Stand and display

• The 3x3 grid keeps the cubes neatly lined up, so your finished mosaic doesn't fall apart on the desk.
• Magnets in the stands let you join several sets into a bigger picture.
• Hooks on the back panel let you hang the finished mosaic on the wall.
• A QR code leads to inspiration and patterns to help you start your first projects.

Who is it for?

The set is for anyone who enjoys the creative side of cubes. It also works as room decor or as an idea for group activities in the classroom, at a hobby club or at a cubing event. Kids can start with simple patterns and get used to turning layers along the way. More ambitious projects require planning and knowing the moves that place specific squares on a face. For bigger pictures, you can buy more sets and connect them with the magnets.
