YJ 8x8 64pcs Mosaic Cube is a set for creating mosaics out of puzzle cubes. Inside you'll find 64 miniature 3x3 cubes, 3.5 cm each, held in a frame in an 8x8 grid. Each cube has 9 tiles per face, so the whole board gives you an image with a resolution of 24x24 "pixels". That's enough for simple pixel art, logos, lettering and small portraits. The cubes come in the stickerless bright version, which means coloured plastic with no stickers.

How a mosaic is made

You turn each cube so that its front face shows the right part of the image using the available colours. A single cube takes just a few moves to set, but with 64 of them, completing the whole picture takes quite some time and patience. You can display the finished mosaic on a shelf or hang it on the wall, as the back of the board has hangers.

The frames have built-in magnets, so you can connect several sets together and build a larger image in a higher resolution.

Mini cubes, not a speed cube

The cubes in this set are small and made of matte plastic. They are designed for creating images, not for fast solving against the clock. For speedcubing practice, it's better to choose a separate standard-size 3x3 cube.
