YJ YuSu 4x4 II Clicky

This is a magnetic 4x4 cube from YJ in a "clicky" version. The magnets are positioned so that every completed turn ends with a distinct, audible click. YJ YuSu 4x4 II Clicky is a refreshed variant of the second-generation YuSu, YJ's budget-friendly 4x4 series. This version comes in a stickerless bright colour scheme, with no stickers.

How it turns

The click comes from the magnets pulling together and works as clear tactile feedback. You can feel when a layer has returned to its place, and the magnets help pull it into position. This is useful on a 4x4, because fast turning can easily lead to overshooting and misaligned layers. This setup also means the cube is louder than a typical magnetic 4x4.

User opinions are mixed. The click is most noticeable on the outer layers. On wide moves, meaning turns of two layers at once, it is clearly weaker, and the magnets do less to align the layers. Some people also point out limited corner cutting and catching, especially in the 3x3 stage when the layers are not perfectly aligned. So it's better to turn accurately than to count on the cube forgiving sloppy moves.
