YuXin HuangLong 11x11 M V2

YuXin HuangLong 11x11 M V2 is the magnetic version of the second-generation HuangLong 11x11. The original HuangLong 11x11 was the first stickerless 11x11 on the market, but it measured about 109 mm and was heavy. The V2 has been redesigned from scratch: the cube is 86 mm and weighs about 385 g, so it's easier to hold during long solves. The M version has magnets in the outer layers. It comes in a stickerless bright colour scheme.

How it turns

On an 11x11, the most common problems are misaligned layers and lockups on the deeper slices. In the V2, YuXin uses a new integrated centre design intended to improve stability. The magnets in the outer layers help them settle after each turn, so it's easier to line up before your next move. Users of the magnetic version describe the turning as smooth and light, and the cube as noticeably easier to handle than older, larger 11x11s.

A big cube usually needs breaking in and lubing. With the non-magnetic version, some users reported tighter inner layers and popping on certain moves. So give the cube some time before you judge how it will ultimately feel.

M version or non-magnetic?

The HuangLong 11x11 V2 is also available in a non-magnetic version with the same dimensions. The M version gives clearer layer stopping and more control at higher turning speeds. The non-magnetic version is cheaper and turns more freely, but requires more careful layer alignment. Compared with other magnetic 11x11s, the HuangLong is larger, so its pieces are bigger too, which some people find makes it easier to grip with eleven layers.

Who is it for?

For cubers who already solve the 6x6 or 7x7 and want to move up to the 11x11, or for big cube collectors looking for a modern, lighter 11x11. This is not a cube for beginners. Solving it takes a long time and requires a good knowledge of the reduction method.
