For years, the Little Magic has been one of the most popular budget speed cubes. The YuXin Little Magic 3x3 V2 Magnetic UV is the second generation of the magnetic version. It has factory-installed medium-strength magnets, spring tension adjustment and a glossy UV coating. The cube comes in a stickerless bright version, meaning no stickers and colored plastic.

How the Little Magic V2 M UV turns

The V2 is not just a minor update to the first version. Some reviewers note that its design resembles the YuXin Kylin V2 more than the original Little Magic. Compared with the Kylin V2, this cube turns faster and has better corner cutting. The magnets are medium strength, so the layers clearly snap into place without much resistance. The contact surfaces of the pieces have a fine brick-pattern texture.

Out of the box, the cube can feel dry and a bit sandy. It works best after you lube it and set the tension, as the turning becomes noticeably smoother. Some users report catching during fast turning. Others find that at this price point the cube is stable and responds well to lube. UV or matte version?
