YuXin Little Magic 6x6x6 Magnetic (manufacturer code YX1516M) is the magnetic version of the budget 6x6 cube from the Little Magic series. It has magnets, screw tension adjustment and a size of 65 mm. At its low price, it's a sensible choice for your first 6x6 or your first magnetic 6x6 cube. The model was released in 2020. We stock it in the stickerless bright version, which means no stickers and coloured plastic.

How it turns

According to speedcubing shops, the magnets are of medium strength. They help the layers settle into place and reduce overshooting without slowing your turns down. The non-magnetic version often runs into lockups when the centre of the cube gets misaligned. Users say the magnets largely solve this problem.

Opinions on the cube out of the box are mixed. Some people say it's tight and rather slow, and corner cutting is weak at first. Once it's broken in, the tension is adjusted and it's lubed, the cube turns noticeably smoother. Cubers praise its resistance to popping. The inner layers may catch, so the cube rewards accurate turning. We don't compare it to flagship 6x6 cubes, but it performs well in its price range.

Tension adjustment

The cube has adjustment screws, so you can set the tension with an ordinary screwdriver. This matters on big cubes: if it's set too loose, the risk of popping goes up, and if it's too tight, the cube turns heavily. To start with, it's best to leave the factory tension, break the cube in and only then loosen it to suit you.

Magnetic or standard version?

The Little Magic 6x6 is also available without magnets (YX1516). It costs less, but it's easier to get lost on it and harder to control when solving faster. For learning to solve and for regular timed solves, the M version is the better choice.

Who is it for?

It's a good cube for someone who can already solve a 4x4 or 5x5 and wants to try a 6x6 without spending a lot. It also works well as an affordable 6x6 for a child who has already moved past their first cubes. If you want to compete for times at competitions and don't want to spend time on setup, consider a more expensive 6x6 model.

    Jest dobrze, ale szału nie ma

    Kostka dobra, dobrze wykonana z wyrazistymi kolorami. Zewnętrzne ściany ruszają się świetnie, drugie ściany całkiem nieźle, ale środkowe nie zbyt dobrze. Parę razy się zacięła jednak nigdy nie rozpadła. Magnesy są jak najbardziej fajne. Jak na tą cenę dobra, ale nie można spodziewać się mega świetnej kostki. Polecam.

    Kolory wyraziste, odczuwalna stabilizacja magnetyczna. W tej cenie nie ma lepszej. Poruszanie lekko ciasne, ale nie zrobiła nigdy żadnego numeru, który by mnie zirytował . Ponieważ moja siódemka porusza się o jakieś 25% lepiej jestem świadomy, że są lepsze szóstki. Ale jeżeli nie układacie w sposób ekstremalnie szybki, to będziecie z niej zadowoleni. Konstrukcja sprawia wrażenie solidnej budowy. Warto ją nieco poluzować i nasmarować. Jest dobra, polecam.

    Kostka przychodzi do nas strasznie sucha. Po wyjęciu z pudełka wymaga nasmarowania i regulacji. Po około 10 ułożeniach jest dobrze wyrobiona i się płynnie porusza. Dosyć często występują locki i popy (rzadko podczas układania, częściej podczas zabawy tj. szybkie wykonywanie algorytmów i szybkie wracanie do pierwszego stanu kostki) lecz łatwo jest to naprawić. Jestem początkującym i mogę polecić.

    Yuxin porusza sie może nie najszybciej ale przez to jest dobra dla początkującyvh i średnio zaawansowanych.Kostka ma dosyć mocne magnesy które pomagają .Nic nie chaczy i miałem 1 locka którh był bardzo mały a całkiem szybko układam .Jaknajbardzie polecam kostke szczegulnie dla początkujączych i srednio zaawansowanych .Kostka moze nie jest idealna bo mogła być troche szybsza i mniej sciśnieta.
    Ps.polecam poluuzować kostke i nie zamartwiać jak z początku słabo porusza sie:)
