ESCube ES3 3x3 (Magnetic) is a magnetic speed cube from ESCube. What makes it stand out is its adjustment system, which you change with your fingers, no key needed. This is the basic magnetic version of the ES3: the magnets are in the pieces only, and the cube has a matte surface and comes in a stickerless bright color scheme.

Tool-free adjustment

The ES3 uses the Dual Adjustment System. It lets you set tensioning (how loosely the layers turn) and spring compression (how firmly the springs work) separately. You can change both by hand, and you can also use a tool if needed. In practice, it's easy to try a few setups and find the one that suits your turning style: looser and faster, or tighter with more control.

Magnets and corner cutting

The pieces contain track-shaped magnets. They help the layers settle into place and reduce overshooting when you turn fast. According to the manufacturer, corner cutting reaches 90° in total: 55° forward and 35° reverse corner cutting. These are catalog figures, not our own measurements. In practice, this means the cube should forgive less precise turns, and lockups on unfinished moves shouldn't be frequent.

Magnetic or Ball-Core?

The ES3 is also available in a version with an 8-magnet Ball-Core, which adds magnets in the core. They pull the layers toward the center and stabilize them further. This Magnetic version has no Ball-Core, so its feel relies solely on the magnets in the pieces. For many people, that's more than enough. The Ball-Core is usually chosen by cubers who want a more „controlled” and stable feel at high TPS.
