ESCube is a fairly new brand, and its name is short for "Easy Simple". This version of the ESCube ES3 3x3 has magnets in the pieces plus an 8-magnet Ball-Core, meaning extra magnets in the core itself that interact with the corners. It is the middle option in the ES3 series, sitting between the basic Magnetic version and the version with a 20-magnet Ball-Core and UV coating. How it turns

Corner cutting reaches 55° and reverse corner cutting 35°, so the cube forgives inaccurate turns within a reasonable range. The magnets in the pieces are track-shaped, matching the turning path. According to cubers' feedback, the ES3 is fairly loud and feels similar to MoreTry cubes. With the basic version, without core magnets, some people noticed weak magnets and lower stability. That is exactly why the 8-magnet Ball-Core matters here: the core magnets pull the corners in and help the layers settle into place during faster turning. Still, this cube does not have the feel of a flagship GAN or MoYu, and it is worth knowing that before you buy.

Dual Adjustment System

Adjustment is what sets the ES3 apart. In most cubes, tightening the tension also compresses the springs, so you cannot set these two parameters separately. In the ES3, tensioning and spring compression are independent of each other. For example, you can reduce the looseness of the cube while keeping the same spring elasticity, or change only the elasticity without touching the tension. You can change the settings by hand or with a tool.

Which ES3 version?

• Magnetic: magnets in the pieces only, no core magnets.
• Magnetic + 8-Magnet Ball-Core: this version; adds core magnets that improve stability and layer alignment.
• Magnetic + 20-Magnet Ball-Core + UV: an expanded Ball-Core and a glossy UV coating that gives more grip.

Do not confuse the ES3 with the ESCube Air, which is a separate model from the same manufacturer.

Who is it for?

For someone who already has their first cube and wants to try out a Ball-Core and separate tension and compression adjustment without buying a flagship. The ES3 is also a good fit for anyone who likes experimenting with different setups. If you want quiet turning and a highly refined feel, you are better off looking at a different model.
