This is the bearing version of the ESTAR magnetic Clock by ESCube. What sets it apart from the regular version are the bearings in the mechanism, which work together with low-resistance gears to reduce friction when you turn the wheels. The manufacturer and distributors present the ESTAR Clock Bearing as the first Clock with bearings. How it turns

Magnetic positioning makes every wheel clearly "click" into place on each full hour. This makes it easier to avoid overshooting, so you don't have to correct a dial after a fast move. The bearings give very light, smooth turning. Users praise the pleasant turning right out of the box, and within the ESTAR family it's the Bearing version that has the most refined feel. Low resistance is a matter of taste, though. If you prefer wheels with noticeable resistance, you may need a moment to get used to it or set the magnets stronger.

Magnets, adjustment and construction

• Adjustable magnet configuration. By adding or removing magnets, you change how strongly the wheels stop at each position. A very large number of magnets gives strong, heavy resistance, so it's worth testing a few setups.
• Repelling magnets, which the standard version doesn't have.
• Metal positioning ring and central magnetic ring, which hold the setup in place and keep the magnets from falling out.
• Self-lubricating Teflon rings, which help maintain a consistent feel over long-term use.
• Parts are interchangeable. According to user reports, the Anders mod can be done without rotating the magnets.

Bearing or standard version?

Both versions are built on the same platform, and both let you adjust the magnets. The Bearing version additionally has bearings and repelling magnets, so it turns more lightly and with less resistance. If you're just starting out with Clock, the regular ESTAR is more than enough. The Bearing version makes more sense if you train this event regularly and care about smoothness during fast turning.
