GAN Center Caps set (GAN 12 UI FP)

GAN Center Caps set (GAN 12 UI FP)

This set contains replacement center caps for the GAN 12 ui FreePlay (FP) smart cube. It includes six colored center caps, the small plastic covers that sit over the center pieces of the cube and the screws underneath. The caps come in the Stickerless Bright color scheme: white, yellow, orange, blue, red and green.

When this set comes in handy

You remove the center caps every time you adjust the cube, because the tensioning system is underneath them. If you take them off often, a cap can get scratched, become loose or get lost. You don't need to replace the whole cube in that case. Just put on a new cap. The set is also useful if you want to refresh the look of a heavily used cube.

Why the FP version matters

GAN makes separate caps for individual models, and on smart cubes their shape is even more important. On the GAN 12 ui FreePlay, the yellow cap has four holes that let the PowerPod charger pins reach the electronics inside. So don't assume that caps from other models will fit here. It doesn't work the other way round either: the GAN 12 ui MagLev uses a newer type of cap, so this set is intended only for the FreePlay version.

If you use your cube with the GAN Robot, check that you have the right caps. GAN offers separate dedicated center caps for this, also in a version for the 12 ui FP.
