GAN Skewb M Enhanced UV

GAN Skewb M Enhanced UV is GAN's magnetic skewb in its most fully equipped factory version. It has the extended Enhanced magnet setup and a glossy UV coating. According to the manufacturer and distributors, it is the first skewb that lets you adjust both spring tension and compression. This is done with the GES system, known from GAN's 3x3 cubes. The cube measures 56 mm and is available in a stickerless bright version.

How it turns

Users most often describe the GAN Skewb M as fast and smooth right out of the box. They also praise its good corner cutting. In the Enhanced version, moves clearly "click" into place and the layers align on their own. This makes the cube feel stable, and overshooting is easier to control than in the standard version. Out of the box, however, the skewb can be loose and a bit dry. Most people rate it noticeably better after increasing the tension and lubing it.

Magnets and GES adjustment

• Enhanced: 32 magnets. In addition to the magnets between the core and the corners, there are also magnets between the pieces, so positioning is stronger than in the standard version.
• GES adjustment lets you change the spring tension and compression, so you can set the cube up more for speed or more for control.
• To reach the adjustment, you need to remove the corner caps. The first time, this may take a bit of patience.

Standard, Enhanced or Enhanced UV?

The standard version has only 8 magnets in the core. It feels lighter to turn but less "controlled". Enhanced and Enhanced UV share the same 32-magnet mechanism and differ only in finish. The UV version has a glossy coating that grips your fingers better and is more resistant to wear. The uncoated version is matte with medium grip.

Who is it for?

For anyone who takes skewb seriously: you practise this event or want one refined, adjustable cube. Strong magnets make it easier to stay in control during fast turning, so this model also works well if you are just learning to solve faster. Just keep in mind that it is worth spending a moment on your own setup. The cube is legal for official competitions.
