A small puzzle shaped like a drink can, part of the Magic Bean family. Some sources also list it as Puzzle Ball Little Magic Bean - Pop Can. There are no layers like on a 3x3 cube. Instead, you get colorful "beans", which are balls set in tracks. Once you scramble them, you need to sort them back by color. Magic Beans Pop Can is a puzzle to twist for fun, not a speedcubing tool.

How this puzzle works

You move the balls by turning individual parts of the can. Each turn shifts them between tracks, so a few random moves are enough to mix up the colors. Your task is to sort them again. 3x3 algorithms won't help here, because the mechanism is completely different. Even if you're good at solving cubes, you'll have to work out a method from scratch, and that's exactly where the fun lies.

The design is simple, so don't expect smooth turning like on a magnetic speed cube. If a part resists, check that everything is properly aligned rather than forcing it.

Who is it for?

The Pop Can makes a great small gift for a child or a break from cubes for anyone who enjoys unusual puzzles. It's light and fits in your hand, so it's easy to take to school or on a trip. Collectors of unusual shapes will like it too, as the can clearly stands out on a shelf next to cubes. It won't be useful at competitions, as this puzzle is not a WCA event.
