Moretry TianMa X3+ ZCube Edition 3x3 (Standard)

This is a special edition of the TianMa X3+, created by MoreTry together with the ZCube brand. The mechanism is the same as in the regular TianMa X3+; the edition differs in its looks. Moretry TianMa X3+ ZCube Edition 3x3 in the Standard version is a magnetic speed cube without Ball-Core. The magnets are in the pieces, but not in the core. This is the basic variant of the edition, available in the stickerless bright colour scheme.

How it turns

The cube weighs approx. 73 g and turns very lightly. Users describe it as clearly fast. It takes very little force to start a move, and the layers settle in a snappy way, with a distinctive "clacky" sound. Reviewers rate its corner cutting and reverse corner cutting highly and compare them to much more expensive cubes.

This lightness has a downside too. With hard, aggressive turning, overshooting happens easily, especially at first. If you prefer a more controllable feel, you may need some time to get used to it, or the version with magnets in the core may suit you better.

Standard or Enhanced?

The ZCube edition comes in several variants:

• Standard: only classic magnets in the pieces, no Ball-Core. It is the lightest and has the freest turning.
• Enhanced: adds an 8-magnet Ball-Core that attracts the magnets in the corner bases. This makes the cube more stable, gives it a slightly stronger magnetic feel and adds a few grams of weight.
• Ball-Core + UV: a variant with magnets in the core and a UV coating.

The Standard version makes sense if you want a light, fast cube and don't need the extra stabilisation from the core.

Who is it for?

It works well as a first magnetic cube after a regular, non-magnetic 3x3. The magnets help the layers settle into place, so fewer moves end with a misaligned layer. A more experienced cuber can buy it as a light backup cube or to compare with heavier Ball-Core models. If stability matters more to you than speed, the Enhanced version will be a better choice.
