MoYu Mosaic 3x3, set of 9 cubes, 5.5 cm

MoYu Mosaic 3x3 is a set of nine 5.5 cm 3x3 cubes designed for building mosaics. You arrange the cubes in a 3 by 3 square, and the front faces of all nine cubes form a single 9 by 9 image made of 81 coloured "pixels". Each cube is a separate, fully functional 3x3 cube that turns just like a regular one.

How the image is made

Choose a picture, such as a simple character, a logo, a flag or some lettering, and map it onto a 9x9 grid using the colours of a standard cube. Then set up each of the nine cubes so that its front face matches its part of the pattern. With a resolution of 81 squares, simple, high-contrast designs work best. Photos with lots of detail need to be heavily simplified.

The cubes come in the stickerless bright version, so the colours are in the plastic, not on stickers. Nothing peels off or wears away when you change patterns often, and the colours are bright and easy to see from a distance.

Display

The set includes a stand that holds all nine cubes. Thanks to the pull-out support at the back, you can place your finished mosaic on a desk or shelf and set it at different angles. Your image doesn't have to lie flat on the table.

Who is it for?

This set is first and foremost a creative puzzle and a decoration, not gear for breaking records.
