MoYu's flagship 3x3 cube for 2025 in its most feature-packed version, with a 20-magnet Ball-Core, the MagLev system and a UV coating. The MoYu Super WeiLong V2 20-M Ball Core MagLev UV quickly made its mark in competition. Yiheng Wang solved it in 3.08 s as a single, which was the 3x3 world record (XMUM Cube Open 2025). This model is also linked to his record 4.05 s average from Zhengzhou Open 2024, set before the cube's official release. Both results have since been beaten, but they show clearly what level this mechanism is built for.

The cube has 100 magnets. The Ball-Core holds 40 of them: 20 in the core frame and 20 in the corner feet. Another 48 sit in the edges and corners, and the 12 under the center caps work in the MagLev system. The core magnets pull the pieces towards the center, so the layers stay in place during fast turning and the cube helps you align them. How noticeable this effect is depends on the settings you choose.

MagLev replaces traditional springs with magnets placed with like poles facing each other, so they repel. There is less friction, and turning feels lighter and faster. If you prefer a calmer, more tactile feel, consider the spring-based 20-M Ball Core UV version. Users describe it as slightly more stable than the MagLev version.

The adjustment options include 8 tension levels, 8 compression levels, 8 Ball-Core magnet strength levels and 8 levels for the magnets in the pieces. On top of that, you can adjust the repulsion in the Ball-Core. The corner magnet adjustment system is handy: a single mechanism changes the strength of all the magnets in a corner at once, instead of setting each one separately. Each individual change takes only a moment, but with this many options, finding your own setup may take a while.

The mechanism builds on the WeiLong V10 design but has capped pieces (capped design), and the corners are designed to make popping harder. In user reviews, the cube comes across as fast and smooth, with very good corner cutting. The outer surface has a glossy UV coating. It gives better grip and is more wear-resistant than bare plastic. The size is the standard 55.5 mm, and the color scheme is stickerless bright.

This cube is for advanced speedcubers who aim for high TPS and want to fine-tune the settings themselves. For a first cube or for learning to solve, a cheaper magnetic model is enough. Here you mainly pay for the Ball-Core and the very wide range of adjustments, which a beginner won't fully benefit from.
