MoYu Super WeiLong V2 3x3 20-M Ball Core UV

This is MoYu's 2025 flagship 3x3 cube in the version with classic springs. The MoYu Super WeiLong V2 20-M Ball Core Magnetic UV has a 20-magnet Ball-Core, magnet adjustment in the corners and a glossy UV coating. It is the simplest variant of the Super WeiLong V2: no MagLev and no smart features, just the flagship mechanism and full magnet adjustment.

Ball-Core and magnet adjustment

The core holds 20 magnets that work together with the magnets in the pieces. This makes the layers snap into place more noticeably, and the cube is less likely to misalign during fast turning. The Ball-Core does not replace the regular magnets in the pieces; it works alongside them.

You change the magnet strength in the corners. A single adjustment shifts all the magnets in a given corner at once, so you don't have to set each one separately. You can also adjust the springs: looser if you prefer speed, or tighter if control matters more to you.

Springs or MagLev?

This version runs on springs only. No MagLev parts are included, so you can't convert it to MagLev with what comes in the box. In the MagLev variant, repelling magnets replace the springs, so turns have less resistance. Springs give a more classic and predictable feel, which some cubers prefer. Apart from these two versions, there is also the 18th Anniversary edition and the Super WeiLong V2 AI, a smart version with an 8-magnet Ball-Core and MagLev.

UV finish

The UV coating is smooth and glossy, yet it still offers good grip. If you prefer matte plastic, keep this in mind, as this finish feels noticeably different in your hands.

Who is it for?

For cubers who want a flagship MoYu cube with Ball-Core and extensive magnet adjustment but don't need MagLev. It is also a good next cube for someone who has outgrown a budget magnetic model and wants to start building their own setup. A child who is just learning to solve will usually be fine with a simpler magnetic cube. Wide adjustment only makes sense once you know what kind of feel you like.
