A 3x3 cube with no middle. The QiYi Magnetic Void 3x3x3 UV has no centers and no core, so you can see straight through every face. Only the corners and edges remain, and they move just like in a regular 3x3. This version has magnets and a glossy UV coating. It is available in the stickerless bright color scheme.

How the Void differs from a regular 3x3 cube

On a classic cube, the centers show what color each face should be. The Void Cube has no centers, so you have to read the face colors from the corners and edges. The second difference is parity. In roughly every other solve, you end up with a case at the end that can't be solved with regular algorithms. When that happens, you do one middle-layer move and then finish the solve. If you can solve a 3x3 with any method, you'll handle the Void, but parity can catch you off guard the first time.

Magnets and UV coating

The magnets help the layers snap into place, so the cube misaligns less and is easier to control than older, non-magnetic Voids. The UV coating gives a smooth, glossy surface with better grip. This cube has no Ball-Core or MagLev. The mechanism is simple, because without a core there is nowhere to fit these features.
