WitEden 2x2x5 is a cuboid, a puzzle shaped like an elongated rectangular block. It has a 2x2 cross-section and five layers along its long axis. How is it different from a regular 2x2?

The layers along the long axis turn in 90-degree steps, just like on a regular cube. The long 2x5 faces can only be turned 180 degrees, because a quarter turn would make the cuboid lose its shape. Solving this puzzle is therefore a slightly different task from solving a 2x2. Knowing the 2x2 basics helps, but you will also need to learn algorithms typical for cuboids and approach it more as a puzzle than as a cube for timed solving.

How it turns

This puzzle has no magnets and no tension adjustment. Its mechanism can't really be compared with modern speed cubes. Turning is fairly loose, and user reviews repeatedly mention that WitEden cuboids can pop. They are usually easy to put back together by hand. Don't twist the corners, as this can break a piece on 2x2-type cubes.

For people who have already mastered regular cubes and are looking for something new, and for cuboid collectors. It goes well with other 2x2xN cuboids, such as the 2x2x4 or 2x2x6.
