YJ YuLong 3x3 II M UV+Clicky is an affordable 3x3 magnetic cube in a Clicky version. It is based on the YuLong V2 M, which has been one of the popular budget magnetic cubes for years. What sets the Clicky version apart from the standard one is a distinct, audible click of the magnets every time a move snaps into place. It also has a UV coating and comes in a stickerless bright version.

What the Clicky version gives you

With every turn, the layer clearly snaps into its place. You can feel it in your fingers and hear it well. Some cubers love this effect, because you know right away that the move is complete, and the cube corrects slight under-turns by itself. Keep in mind, however, that this cube is noticeably louder than the regular YuLong. It's not always the best choice for solving in a quiet room or around other people.

How it turns

Users describe the turning as smooth, with good corner cutting for a cube in this price range. The magnets help keep it stable but don't noticeably slow the cube down. Out of the box, the cube can be a bit stiff. It usually breaks in after a few dozen solves, and a little lube makes it even smoother. It's not a flagship for pushing your TPS to the limit, but a solid, predictable everyday cube.

UV coating

The UV coating gives the surface a high-gloss finish and noticeably increases grip, so the cube slips less in your hands. If you prefer a more matte plastic with medium grip, the non-UV version will suit you better. The mechanism and dimensions stay the same.

The YuLong II M UV+Clicky works well as your first magnetic cube, as a backup cube or one to carry around. Many people also buy it for a child who is just learning to solve. The cube is forgiving and doesn't require very precise turning. It will appeal most to those who like a distinct click. If you prefer quiet turning, go for the standard version of the YuLong.
