YJ YuLong 3x3 II Magnetic, also known as the YuLong V2 M, is an affordable magnetic 3x3 cube from YJ (YongJun). For years it was one of the most frequently recommended first magnetic cubes. The second generation of the YuLong has newly shaped pieces: more grooves on the edges and corners, plus dedicated magnet slots. The magnets come pre-installed, so you don't have to glue anything in yourself.

How it turns

The YuLong V2 M is a cube for learning and everyday solving, not a flagship. The magnets are of medium strength. They help a layer settle into place after a turn, but they don't hold it firmly. Users usually rate its speed, stability and corner cutting as average and well balanced. No single feature stands out, either for better or for worse. For a beginner, that's an advantage: the cube behaves predictably and doesn't slip out from under your fingers. Reviewers praise it for performing well straight out of the box. In comparisons with other budget models it usually comes out as one of the slower ones, but lubing it can make a noticeable difference.

Who is it for?

If you already solve fast and care about feel, tension adjustment and stability at high TPS, sooner or later you'll want a higher-end cube, for example one with magnets in the core.

Newer versions of this model are also available: the YuLong V2 with UV coating (2025 edition) and the YuLong V3 M. This product is the standard V2 M version, without UV coating.
