Z-LUBE Gamma (Maintenance) is a cube lube from Zcube in a 10 ml bottle. It belongs to the Z-LUBE series, which includes three lubes: Alpha (Speed), Beta (Smooth) and Gamma (Maintenance). Each one has a different job, as the names already suggest. Gamma is meant for regular maintenance, not for changing how your cube feels.

Cube lube for maintenance

A maintenance lube is used in a cube that is already lubed and set up but, after some time, starts to feel drier, louder or less consistent. A few drops refresh the mechanism, so you don't have to take the cube apart again or change your setup. It's useful for anyone who has one or more cubes in daily use and wants them to turn consistently between full cleanings.

Alpha, Beta or Gamma?

• Alpha (Speed) is suited to cubes you want to make faster.
• Beta (Smooth) works well when you want a smoother feel to your turns.
• Gamma (Maintenance) is for routine maintenance of a cube that is already lubed.

If you want to change the way your cube turns, choose Alpha or Beta. If you're happy with your cube and just want to keep it in good condition, Gamma is all you need.

How to use

You don't need much maintenance lube. A few drops are usually enough. You can apply them to the core or to the inner surfaces of the pieces after popping out one corner or edge. Then do a few dozen turns on all layers to spread the lube. It's better to add too little and repeat if needed than to over-lube the cube. Too much lube can slow it down.
