Cubicle Silicone Weight 3 Lube
Cubicle Weight 3 silicone lube has a medium viscosity, the middle of the 1-5 scale in the Weight series. It smooths out the turning and doesn't slow the cube down as much as the thicker versions. It's suitable for both the pieces and the core of your cube. It comes in a 10 ml syringe.
Cubicle Silicone Weight 3 Lube
Cubicle Silicone Weight 3 Lube is a classic silicone cube lube from the Weight series (previously known as Lubicle Weight). The series comes in five viscosities, numbered 1 to 5. Weight 1 is the thinnest and Weight 5 is the thickest. Weight 3 sits right in the middle of the scale. It is neither thin nor thick, so you can use it on both the pieces and the core of your cube.How each viscosity works
Thin lubes, Weight 1 and 2, are mainly used to get rid of a dry, scratchy feel and smooth out the turning. They usually make the cube faster, but the effect wears off sooner. Thick lubes, Weight 4 and 5, noticeably slow the cube down and make the turning more controllable. They also work well on the metal parts of the core, such as screws and springs. Weight 3 works in between: it smooths out the turning but doesn't slow the cube down as much as the thicker versions. It is thicker than Weight 1 and 2, so it usually lasts longer in the cube than the thinnest lubes in the series.What it's good for
Weight 3 is a good choice if you're not sure yet what effect you want, or if you need one lube for the whole cube. It's useful, for example, for a new cube that feels dry and loud straight out of the box, or for an older cube that needs refreshing. On the pieces, it gives the cube a smooth feel. In the core, it improves turning smoothness without making the cube feel rubbery. If you want to make your cube noticeably faster, a thinner lube will work better. If you want to slow it down and make it more stable, choose Weight 4 or 5. It's best to start with a small amount and add more if needed, because it's easier to add lube than to remove the excess.Key information
