GAN 11 M Duo is a light (approx. 60 g) magnetic 3x3 cube built on the 11 M Pro mechanism. The only differences are that the magnet strength can't be adjusted and the corner magnets are fixed in place. Tension and compression are set with the GES v5 system, and two sets of nuts are included.

GAN 11 M Duo 3x3x3

GAN 11 M Duo is a magnetic 3x3 cube from the GAN 11 series, in practice a simplified version of the 11 M Pro. The design and mechanism are the same, and the differences concern the magnets: the magnet strength cannot be adjusted, and the magnets in the corner feet are fixed in place. If you would leave the factory magnet setting on the Pro anyway, the Duo gives you the same everyday performance in a cheaper cube.

How the GAN 11 M Duo turns

The cube weighs about 59-60 g, so it is noticeably lighter than many magnetic 3x3 cubes. It has the light, slightly "papery" feel typical of GAN and precise, confident turning. Reviewers praise its stability and how easily turns settle exactly where they should, which helps especially in OH. GAN claims 55° corner cutting and 35° reverse corner cutting. User opinions on corner cutting vary: some find it very good, others consider it average compared with cubes focused purely on speed. If you are used to heavier cubes, you may need a moment to get used to such a low weight.

Magnets and adjustment

The cube has 64 magnets, including magnets in the core that help align the layers. Tension and compression are adjusted with the GES v5 dual adjustment system: interchangeable nuts change the distance from the core, and the included tool sets the spring compression. The cube surface has a honeycomb texture.

Who is it for?

For cubers looking for a light, stable and controllable GAN cube who don't need the magnet adjustment of the 11 M Pro. It also works well as a first more serious cube after a beginner model, and for a speedcuber it can be a good main or a backup cube.
