GAN 11 M Pro 3x3x3 in this version comes in black plastic with factory GAN stickers. It is GAN's flagship magnetic cube from 2020. The stickered version is only available in black plastic. It is often chosen by people who started out with classic stickered cubes. The mechanism is the same as in the stickerless versions; only the look is different.

Magnetic core in the GAN 11 M Pro

The cube has 48 magnets in its pieces. GAN added 8 more magnets in the core, which work together with the magnets in the corner feet. The 11 M Pro was the first cube with this corner-core layout. During a turn, the distance between the core magnet and the corner magnet changes only slightly. As a result, you can feel the magnetic force throughout the whole move, and the layers settle into place on their own without an aggressive "click". The magnets in the feet are replaceable and adjustable.

How it turns

At 63 g, it is light for a magnetic 3x3x3. If you are switching from a heavier cube, it may take a moment to get used to. Users most often describe the turning as light and smooth, and the corner cutting as very good. According to reviewers, the lightness typical of GAN is complemented here by noticeably better stability thanks to the core magnets. There are some remarks too: for some users, the magnets in the feet jump to a different position while solving. For others, even the weakest setting is too strong for M moves.

Adjustment

Magnets: the manufacturer specifies 7 levels of magnet strength. The set includes triangular feet (factory-installed) and hexagonal feet. Both types have 3 positions.
Springs: the GES v5 system offers 6 tension levels, adjusted with a key. Interchangeable nuts give 4 distances between the center piece and the core. Altogether, that adds up to 168 configurations.

Who is it for?

For a speedcuber who likes to set up the cube themselves and wants control over both the magnets and the springs. The cube is allowed in official competitions. GAN already has newer generations of flagships. The 11 M Pro is a proven design, though not the latest one. Beginners can handle it too, but they won't make use of most of the adjustment options.
