GAN 12 Maglev X Greninja is a version of the GAN 12 Maglev cube from the GAN x Pokémon collection, featuring a Greninja theme. Under the themed design is the same 3x3 mechanism that was GAN's flagship for several years. In 2022, Tymon Kolasiński set a world record average of 4.86 s on a modified GAN12 M MagLev. We stock it in the stickerless bright version.

How it turns

The GAN 12 Maglev is very light to turn. Instead of springs under the centers, it uses repelling magnets (MagLev), so the layers move with little resistance and the cube doesn't make the typical spring noise. Magnets in the pieces and in the core give strong auto-alignment: if you don't complete a turn, the layer snaps into place by itself. This keeps the cube stable even at high TPS. Many cubers describe the feel as fast and smooth. If you prefer heavier cubes with more noticeable resistance, you may need a little time to get used to such light turning and to reduce overshooting.

Technologies and adjustment

• MagLev: magnets instead of springs, which means less resistance and quieter turning.
• Core magnets (GAN calls this Magnetic Core 2.0). They align the layers and give a distinct "click" with every move.
• Adjustable piece magnet strength with the GES system. You can set the cube stronger for control or lighter for speed.
• MagLev tension and elasticity adjustment, which lets you fine-tune the looseness and the corner cutting behavior.
