GAN Lube v2 Lube (10 ml)

GAN Lube v2 is part of GAN's new lube series, which replaced the well-known GAN Magic Lube. The series includes three lubes with different viscosities and uses. The second version, also sold as No.2 Accel, is the thinnest of the three. It quickly speeds up your cube and reduces resistance when turning the layers. The lube is water-based and comes in a 10 ml bottle.

How this cube lube works

A thin lube spreads quickly across the pieces, so you notice the effect after just a few turns. The cube becomes noticeably smoother and faster. Users describe the feel as light and buttery. However, the effect doesn't last long. Water-based lubes wear off faster than silicone ones, so you need to apply v2 more often. On a cube that is already very fast, it may also take away some control.

How to use

• Usually 1-2 drops are enough. It's better to add less and reapply if needed than to overdo it.
• Thin lube works best when applied to the pieces, i.e. the surfaces that rub against each other when turning.
• After applying, do a few dozen turns so the lube spreads evenly.

v2 compared to other GAN lubes

v1 (Maintenance) has medium viscosity. It is meant for regular maintenance and changes the character of the cube less. v3 (Mastery) is thick and slows the cube down, giving you more control and stability. v2 makes sense when your cube feels dry or too slow and you want to speed it up quickly, e.g. before a practice session. For long-term maintenance, v1 is a better choice.
