HuaMeng is a MoYu sub-brand. The TG came out at the end of 2024 and stood out from the start mainly for its range of adjustments. The HuaMeng TG 3x3 Ball Core UV is a magnetic speed cube with magnets in the core, classic springs (no MagLev) and a glossy UV coating. Together, the tension, compression and magnet strength settings give you 1620 combinations, so you can tailor the cube quite closely to your turning style.

How it turns

According to user reviews, the TG is fast right out of the box, and the feel is more tactile than smooth. The Ball-Core gives the layers a noticeable magnetic "snap" into place and helps with aggressive turning. If you prefer a lighter, faster feel, you can weaken the magnets and loosen the settings. Some cubers point out that the springs are quite loud. This cube isn't for everyone, and its feel clearly divides cubers. Reviewers also note that the spring-based Ball-Core version goes through lube fairly quickly and may need to be lubed more often.

Adjustment and Ball-Core

Which HuaMeng TG version?

The Ball-Core and Ball-Core UV versions have the same mechanism (76 magnets each) and differ only in finish. Without UV, the plastic is matte with medium grip. The MagLev variants have 88 magnets because the springs are replaced with repelling magnets. This usually means lighter, faster turning and quieter operation. There is also a newer TG V2 with a different corner adjustment system. This product is the first version of the model.

Who is it for?

For cubers who like experimenting with their setup and want to set the magnet strength, tension and compression themselves. The TG works well for people who turn aggressively and value stability. For a child's first cube, this many settings probably won't be much use.
