HuaMeng TG 3x3 Spirit Pearl (Limited Edition)

HuaMeng TG 3x3 Spirit Pearl (Limited Edition)

A collector's version of the flagship HuaMeng TG 3x3 cube. HuaMeng is a brand owned by MoYu. In Chinese sources, this edition is also known as LingZhu. The mechanism is the same as in the top TG variant: magnets, Ball-Core, MagLev and UV coating. What sets Spirit Pearl apart is its look and what comes in the box. The cube has a gold, red and transparent colour scheme inspired by a dragon motif, and it comes in decorative packaging.

What you get in the limited edition

• A collector's box with custom-fitted inserts, great for display on a shelf or as a gift.
• Stickers shaped to fit the faces. You can apply them if you want to solve the cube, not just keep it in your collection.
• An adjustment key for tuning the cube's settings.

According to distributors, the run is limited to 999 copies worldwide, and each copy comes with a numbered collector's card.

How it turns

This is a fully fledged speedcubing puzzle, not just a decoration. MagLev replaces traditional springs with repelling magnets, and the magnets in the Ball-Core help stabilize the layers during fast turning. According to user reviews, the cube can feel noticeably sandy straight out of the box. Loosening the settings and lubing the mechanism helps. After this setup, it turns much more smoothly.

Who is it for?

Spirit Pearl is mainly bought by collectors and fans of the HuaMeng series who want a limited-edition copy with the full set of extras. The mechanism itself is the same as in the standard TG with MagLev, Ball-Core and UV. If you only need the cube for practice, the regular version gives you the same solving experience without the collector's packaging. It is not the best choice as a child's first cube. However, it makes a great gift for someone who already solves and collects cubes.
