MoYu Super AoLong AI 3x3 MagLev Ball-Core UV

This is the smart version of the Super AoLong, the model that marked MoYu's return to the AoLong series. The MoYu Super AoLong AI 3x3 has everything you expect from a speedcube: magnets in the pieces, MagLev, Ball-Core and UV coating. Inside, though, it also has electronics. The cube connects via Bluetooth to the WCU CUBE app and records every move in real time. We offer it in the Stickerless Bright colour scheme.

How it turns

Users say the magnets are strong and the cube is stable and aligns layers well on its own. Corner cutting is also rated well. MagLev replaces springs with repelling magnets, which reduces friction and makes turning quieter. The feel of the base Super AoLong is often described as more tactile than the WeiLong V11. People who own both versions notice that the AI can be slightly more "sticky" at the same settings, so it's worth taking a moment to find your own setup.

App and electronics

The WCU CUBE app lets you replay your solves, track your progress, use tutorials and race other cubers online. The battery lasts approx. 30 hours, and a charging case is included. Opinions on the app itself are more mixed than on the cube. A few users have reported problems with installation and logging in.

Adjustment

• One-button adjustment gives you 8 levels of tension and elasticity, plus 8 levels of corner magnet strength.
• MagLev or springs. The cube comes set up with MagLev. Extra springs are included if you prefer a more pronounced, mechanical feedback.

AI or the version without electronics?

The regular Super AoLong UV has an advanced 20-magnet Ball-Core, three adjustment systems (including Ball-Core repulsion strength) and is lighter. If you don't need the app, that version gives you more tuning options for less money. The AI version makes sense when you want to train on the same cube you solve with every day and get data from every solve.

Who is it for?

For cubers who want to analyse their solves, practise with an app or race online without switching to a mechanically weaker smart cube. The in-app tutorials will also help beginners. However, if your child is just starting out and the app isn't a priority, a cheaper magnetic cube will do.
