A smart cube built on the WeiLong WRM V10, MoYu's flagship 3x3 from 2024. The MoYu WeiLong WRM V10 AI Gyroscope Core MagLev UV connects to your phone via Bluetooth and sends every move to the app. A gyroscope in the core also tracks rotations of the whole cube. This is the best-equipped version of the V10 AI, with MagLev, core magnets and a UV coating. Colour scheme: stickerless bright.

How it turns

The electronics don't change the character of the cube. Users say the V10 AI turns just like a regular V10: fast and smooth, with a slightly stiffer, controlled feel. Corner cutting is very good, so you can use it for normal timed practice, not just for the app features. MagLev replaces the springs with repelling magnets, which makes turning lighter and faster. Magnets connecting the corners to the core help the layers snap into place (auto-alignment at about 43 degrees) and keep the cube under control at high TPS.

App and electronics

The cube works with the MoYu app (WCU Cube) on Android and iOS. You get a timer, learning modes for LBL, CFOP and Roux, an algorithm database and online matches against other cubers. Opinions on the app itself are mixed. The cube gets praise, but the app has an unpolished translation, and some users report inaccurate solve reconstructions and gyroscope readings. The battery lasts about 30 hours and is charged in the included charging box.

Adjustment

The V10 AI has two adjustment systems: 8 tension levels and 8 compression levels. You set them with the tool included in the set.

How do the V10 AI versions differ?

The Lite version is the simplest option: it only has magnets in the pieces and comes without a charging box. The standard and UV versions differ in finish. This version adds MagLev and a glossy UV coating that gives better grip. It's for anyone who wants a smart cube that is also a fully-fledged training cube. If you just need a regular cube for solving, the classic WeiLong WRM V10 without electronics will do.
