QiYi Magnetic Number Sliding Klotski 6x6 is a large number sliding puzzle, an enlarged version of the classic 15 puzzle. The board has 6 by 6 squares. It holds 35 numbered tiles and one empty space that lets you slide the neighbouring tiles. Your goal is to arrange all the numbers in order, from the smallest to the largest. The tiles are held in place by magnets.

How the magnetic sliding puzzle works

In cheap sliding puzzles the tiles are often loose, fall out or get stuck between positions. In this model QiYi uses magnets that keep the tiles in place. As a result, the puzzle doesn't fall apart while you're solving it, and each tile stops right in its square. This matters a lot when you slide fast, because you don't have to keep straightening misaligned pieces.

How 6x6 differs from smaller sliding puzzles

The 4x4 version has 15 pieces, while this one has 35, so solving takes much longer. The method is the same as in smaller sliding puzzles. First you solve the top rows one by one, then the last two rows column by column. At the end, a small 2x2 or 2x3 section remains. If you know this method from the 15 puzzle, you can apply it to the 6x6 right away. However, solving it requires more planning and longer concentration, because you have to keep track of many tiles at once.
