A large, fully functional 3x3 cube from QiYi with an edge length of approx. 18.8 cm and a weight of approx. 974 g, in a non-magnetic version with a stickerless bright colour scheme. It turns smoothly for its size. Great for solving just for fun, demonstrating algorithms and as a shelf decoration.
QiYi Warrior Plus 3x3 is a large, fully functional 3x3 cube with an edge length of about 18.8 cm. Each edge is more than three times longer than on a regular 56 mm cube, and its volume equals roughly 37 standard 3x3 cubes. It weighs just under a kilogram. You solve it with the same algorithms as a regular 3x3 cube. We stock the stickerless bright version in coloured plastic, with no stickers that could peel off or wear away.
At this size, it's not about solve times. The Warrior Plus is not a speedcubing cube: TPS or finger tricks like on a 56 mm cube are out of the question. You turn the faces with your whole hands, and it's most comfortable to rest the cube on a table or on your lap. Users and speedcubing shops agree that it turns surprisingly lightly and smoothly for its size. Keep the weight in mind, though: at almost a kilogram, every move takes more force than on a regular cube, and long solves held in the air can tire your arms.
This is the basic Warrior Plus without magnets. QiYi also makes the Warrior Plus M in the same size, with magnets that help align the layers. Without magnets, the cube turns more freely and doesn't snap the layers into place on its own. As a decoration or for occasional solving, it works perfectly well. There is also a bigger variant, the Warrior Plus Max Box (38 cm), but that's a completely different scale.
For collectors and cubers who want something on their shelf that catches the eye straight away and can still be solved normally. The large faces are easy to see from a distance, so the cube is also handy for demonstrating algorithms to a group, e.g. in cubing classes or at school. It will also delight a child who can already solve a 3x3. If you're looking for a cube to practise with and improve your times, a regular magnetic 3x3 is a better choice.
