QiYi Warrior Plus Max 3x3 is a classic 3x3 cube with a 38 cm edge, roughly seven times longer than a standard speedcube (approx. 56 mm). This giant cube has a black body. QiYi based the mechanism on the design of regular speedcubes instead of simply scaling up a cheap mechanism. That's why the Warrior Plus Max turns much more easily than older big 3x3 cubes, which were often hard to move at all.

What solving a big 3x3 cube is like

Forget about fingertricks and TPS here. You turn the layers with your whole hands, and for some moves with your arms as well. Even so, the cube isn't hard to turn and runs smoothly for its size. Users point out one more thing: at this scale muscle memory stops working, so even well-known algorithms have to be executed consciously. For many cubers, that's exactly the most fun part of this cube.

You solve it like any other 3x3 cube, with the same methods and algorithms. Anyone who can solve a regular cube can solve this one.

Standard version vs. Box

The Warrior Plus Max also comes in a Box version. Instead of stickers, it has magnetic colored tiles that you remove with the included tool. Underneath them, in every piece except the centers, there are storage compartments. This product is the standard version, without compartments. The mechanism and size are the same in both versions; they differ in the face finish and the storage feature.

Who is it for?

For cubers who already own a few cubes and are looking for something completely different, as well as for clubs, schools and event organizers. At a demonstration or a stand, a cube like this grabs attention instantly. It also works well as a decoration for a room or a shop. Just keep its size and weight in mind: this is a cube you place on a table or the floor, not one you hold in your hands while solving. For learning to solve, a regular 3x3 cube is a better choice.
