Replacement parts for puzzle cubes

A cracked corner, a lost magnet or a damaged core doesn't have to mean buying a new cube. In this category you'll find replacement parts for MoYu, GAN, X-Man Design, YJ and DaYan speed cubes. There are also parts that let you change the setup or look of the cube you already have.

What you'll find in this category

• Mechanism parts: Ball-Core for the MoYu WeiLong V10 and V11 (in 8-M and 20-M versions), Cross Core for the WeiLong V10, a core arm for the X-Man Tornado V3/V4, and single corners for the MoYu RS3M V5 UV and RS2M.
• Core replacement kits: X-Man Tornado V3 Core Upgrade Kit in the Pioneer and Flagship versions. This is a newer core with a simpler design, fewer parts and magnets embedded directly in the center.
• MagLev magnets: sets for the MoYu WeiLong V9 and V10. In the MagLev system, the layers are held together by repelling magnets instead of springs. A set comes in handy if you lose a magnet, or as an upgrade from a spring-based cube to MagLev.
• GAN GES v3 and v4: interchangeable nuts with springs of different strengths, used to change the tensioning in GAN cubes. The v4 version fits, among others, the GAN 356 RS, GAN 354 V2 and GAN 11 Air.
• Logo-free center caps: center caps for, among others, the MoYu RS3 M V5, WeiLong WRM V10, AoSu V7 4x4, AoChuang V6 5x5, GAN 12/13/14, GAN 16, GAN V100, GAN Megaminx V2 and DaYan ZhanChi V5 M.

How to choose the right part for your cube

The most important thing is an exact match with the model and its generation. Successive versions of the same series often differ, and parts are not always interchangeable between them. For example, the MagLev magnet set for the WeiLong V9 does not fit the V10. For WeiLong cores, look at the 8-M or 20-M marking, which is the number of magnets in the Ball-Core, and choose the version that matches your cube. The easiest way to check the full model name is on the box.

With center caps, the finish matters too. Some come in two versions, matte and UV (e.g. RS3 M V5). A cap with a glossy UV coating will stand out on a non-UV cube, and vice versa.

Repair, tuning or looks

Replacing a single part makes sense when your cube is already broken in and well set up, and only one piece has been damaged. A new copy of the same model may feel different and need to be set up again. GES springs and MagLev magnets, on the other hand, let you change the character of your cube without buying a new one. Logo-free center caps are chosen by cubers who want a smooth center without the manufacturer's print, or who want to apply their own logo.
