GAN GES v4: interchangeable nuts for GAN cubes

GAN GES v4 is a set of interchangeable nuts with springs for GAN cubes. GES (Gans Elasticity System) is a system where you change the layer tension by swapping the whole nut with its spring instead of tightening a screw. Each colour stands for a different spring strength. With several colours, you can set up the same cube more for speed or more for stability without buying a new model.

Two sets to choose from

Each set contains nuts in three colours. Yellow is the firmest, green is in the middle, and blue or purple is the lightest. The sets differ only in the weakest spring:

• green-blue-yellow: blue is the lightest, so the whole range of settings is a bit tighter.
• green-yellow-purple: purple is even looser than blue, so this set goes further towards light, fast turning.

A firmer spring gives a more solid, stable cube that holds its layers well. A lighter one makes turning freer and increases corner cutting. With a very loose setup, however, the cube can become less predictable. Many cubers start with green and only then move in one direction or the other.

GAN distributors also state that GES v4 fits the GAN 11 Air and GAN356M Lite. This way, owners of the Lite version can get springs that are not included in their set. GES v4 does not fit newer systems such as GES Pro or GES+.

Important before you buy

The set does not include a plastic tool. To swap the nuts, use the tool that came with your cube.
