Cubicle FZ-Rush Lube

Cubicle FZ-Rush Lube 10 ml

FZ-Rush is a cube lube from TheCubicle designed to speed up your cube right after application. It was developed by Hongyuan Fu (Freddie, FZ), a speedcuber and chemist. Cubicle FZ-Rush Lube contains no silicone. Its base is a hydroxy compound with added water. Because of this formula, it works differently from classic silicone lubes, and there is one important rule to remember when applying it (described below).

How FZ-Rush works

Your cube gets faster right away, with no long break-in period. The manufacturer describes a fast, comfortable feel that lasts a long time. User opinions on the feel itself vary: some mainly notice a soft, smooth feel, while others describe a more "crisp" turning. What is certain is that FZ-Rush is faster than its counterpart FZ-Calm, which gives a calmer, more controllable and dampened feel.

The lube wipes off easily and leaves little residue, so you can quickly remove any excess, and changing your setup is no hassle.

FZ-Rush or FZ-Calm?

Some cubers find that FZ-Calm works better as the only lube in a cube, while FZ-Rush works best paired with another lube. A common setup is FZ-Calm on the tracks and FZ-Rush on the pieces. This combination gives you a soft, quiet base with extra speed. FZ-Rush can easily be combined with other TheCubicle lubes, so it's easy to fit into your own setup.

How to apply

• The lube contains water, so do not apply it directly to metal parts, i.e. springs and screws.
• Apply it to the plastic pieces and tracks. It's best to start with a small amount and add more if needed.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
• The lube is not for consumption. Avoid contact with eyes and open wounds. Store the bottle away from fire and out of reach of small children.

Who is it for?

For anyone who wants to speed up their cube or fine-tune their own lube setup. For your first lubing, an all-purpose lube that works well on its own will be easier to use. Those who combine FZ-Rush with other lubes will get the most out of it.
