GAN 12 ui PowerPod

GAN 12 ui PowerPod is a charging case for GAN ui-generation smart cubes. It has its own built-in battery, so it works like a small power bank in the shape of a box. You put the cube inside and it charges without plugging in a cable, and you only need to charge the case itself every now and then. A fully charged PowerPod is enough for about 7-8 charges of the cube. The shop offers the white version.

How it works in practice

The GAN 12 ui runs for about 15 hours on a single charge. If you train with the app every day, that means frequent charging and looking for a cable. With the PowerPod, the cube simply goes back into the case after a session, where it is charged and stored. Lights on the housing show the battery level, so it's easy to see when the case itself needs charging.

The PowerPod is especially handy when travelling, at competitions and at cubing meetups, where a power socket isn't always within reach. It also protects the cube in your backpack from knocks and dirt.

Older GAN smart cubes from the 356 i series (i2, i3) and the Play models have a separate, earlier version of the PowerPod. This model is not designed for those cubes. Before you buy, check that your cube is from the ui generation.

Who is it for?

For GAN 12 ui owners who bought the cube without a PowerPod, in the version with a regular cable, and want to charge it more conveniently and carry it safely. It also works well as a spare case, for example when you keep one at home and the other in your bag. If you already have the cube version with a PowerPod in the set, you don't need a second case, unless a spare is exactly what you're after.
