This is a special edition of the QiYi Warrior M 7x7, made together with Picube. Underneath, it is the same compact, lightweight magnetic 7x7 from QiYi. The difference is that Picube installs magnets in the core, and the cube comes in an orange SE box with an orange Picube logo. The Picube QiYi Warrior M 7x7 SE Matte Core Magnet has matte plastic without a UV coating and comes in a stickerless bright colour scheme.

How it turns

Users describe it as a fast 7x7 cube. That includes the innermost layers, which slow down noticeably on many 7x7s. The core magnets help align the layers and calm the cube during fast turning, so after a good setup it becomes noticeably more controllable and stable. Forward corner cutting is good. Some people rate reverse corner cutting as average.

Don't expect the cube to be ready straight out of the box. In reviews, some say their cube was dry, while others say it had too much factory lube. Either way, lubing and adjusting the tension are what make the real difference. If you like slower 7x7s that keep a steady pace on their own, the Warrior SE may feel too fast at first.

The SE series comes in four variants: standard magnetic or Core Magnet, each with a Matte or UV finish. Core magnets make sense if you want stability and predictable layer alignment during longer 7x7 sessions. The Matte version is smooth, non-glossy and has medium grip. UV sticks to your fingers more.

Who is it for?

For anyone who solves 7x7 regularly and wants a stronger, more stable version of the affordable Warrior M without reaching for more expensive flagships. For a child's first 7x7, the regular Warrior M is more than enough.
