Picube QiYi Warrior M 7x7 SE UV is a special edition of the budget Warrior 7x7, made by Picube together with QiYi. The mechanism is the same as in the regular Warrior M. What sets the SE edition apart is its look: an orange Picube logo and an orange box. This version is magnetic, has a glossy UV coating and comes in the stickerless bright colour scheme.

Compact magnetic 7x7 cube

At 62.5 mm, the Warrior is smaller than many 7x7 cubes. It's easier to hold, and your hands get less tired after a long solve. The magnets are placed on two levels: 144 magnets in the outer pieces and 72 in the inner pieces. The layers snap into place clearly, which helps you avoid misalignment and lockups on a puzzle with this many layers. The centres have integrated caps, so they won't fall off while you solve. The outer layer is widened, and the pieces have anti-stick grooves that reduce friction.

The Warrior is an inexpensive model, so it's best to keep your expectations realistic. Users praise its smooth turning, but during very fast turning the cube can lose stability, and lockups do happen occasionally. Popping is rare and easy to fix. Lube and setup make a noticeable difference.

UV coating and other versions

The UV coating gives a glossy surface that grips your fingers better than matte (frosted) plastic. The SE edition is also available with a matte finish and in a more expensive core-magnetic version, with additional magnets in the core installed by Picube. These magnets are meant to stabilise the cube further. The variant described here is the magnetic version with magnets in the pieces.
