QiYi Red Hat 3x3 M

QiYi Red Hat 3x3 M is a magnetic learning cube from QiYi's kids' series. Its name comes from the red pieces on the top, which look like a hat. They let a child see straight away where the top of the cube is, so they get lost less often while solving.

How the simplified color scheme works

The cube has fewer colors than a regular 3x3, and they are arranged differently from the standard scheme: large, solid yellow, orange and red areas, plus blue pieces on top. That means less information to track, and fewer steps and algorithms to solve it. Beginners finish the cube faster, which really helps them stay motivated.

Magnets and finish

Most cheap cubes for kids have no magnets and feel loose. Here, the magnets help the layers settle into place, so turning is more stable. The frosted plastic resists scratches, doesn't pick up fingerprints and doesn't reflect light. There are no stickers, so nothing can wear off or peel. The 55.5 mm size is comfortable for smaller hands.
