QiYi Sandwich 3x3 M

QiYi Sandwich 3x3 M

QiYi Sandwich 3x3 M is the simplest cube in QiYi's magnetic kids' series. When solved, it looks like a sandwich: each layer has a different colour, with blue on top, yellow in the middle and red at the bottom. The goal is clear from the very first moment: bring back three even, single-coloured layers.

Why it's easier to solve

In a regular 3x3 cube, every corner and every edge has only one correct place. Here, many pieces look the same, so the solution is much shorter and needs fewer algorithms. It's a very friendly way to understand how the layers of a cube work. It won't keep an experienced cuber busy for long, but it gives a beginner a lot of satisfaction.

Build quality

The cube has magnets that stabilize turning and help the layers settle into place, so it doesn't wobble like cheap cubes without magnets. Its 55.5 mm size is comfortable for a child's hands. The frosted ABS plastic resists scratches and doesn't pick up fingerprints. It's stickerless, so the colours won't wear off over time.

Who is it for?

For children and adults who have never solved a cube and want to start with something really simple. It also makes an easy gift and a handy teaching aid for school classes. The cube is not allowed in WCA competitions, as it doesn't have the standard six colours. Your next step could be another model from this series or a classic magnetic 3x3.
