An easier start

A regular 3x3 cube has six colors, and at first it's easy to get lost. The Unicorn has a simplified color scheme, so the first solve is much closer. It takes fewer steps and algorithms, and your child quickly sees the results of their work. This matters, because that first success often decides whether someone wants to keep solving.
