QiYi Smart Timer

QiYi Smart Timer is a speedcubing timer with Bluetooth. It times your solves just like a regular timer: place both hands on the touch pads, lift them to start the clock, and stop it the same way once you finish. The difference is that once it's paired with the QiYi app on your phone or tablet, every result is saved automatically. No more copying times by hand into a spreadsheet or training program.

What the app connection gives you

Your times go to the app right after each solve. There you can browse them, compare them and track your progress in the statistics. Results are saved in the cloud, so they won't disappear when you switch the timer off. With dozens or hundreds of solves a day, this saves a lot of time and eliminates copying mistakes.

The timer itself also keeps a running count of solves since it was switched on, plus live Ao5 and Ao12 averages (the average of your last 5 and 12 solves). You can see the basic stats even without your phone.

Comfortable training

• Smaller indicator LEDs. They're less distracting at the start, which helps if timed solves make you nervous.
• 2.5 mm output for connecting a compatible display, e.g. when practising in competition-like conditions.
• Phone holder that keeps the app in view right next to the timer.

Who is it for?

This timer is for anyone who trains regularly and wants their results well organised: from cubers working on their average to speedcubers analysing hundreds of solves. If you just need simple timing without a phone or statistics, a regular timer without Bluetooth will do. The Smart Timer makes sense when you actually want to use the app.

The timer runs on 2 AAA batteries, which are not included. It's a good idea to buy them together with the timer.
