GAN Timer and other timers that take 4 batteries

The GAN Smart Timer needs four AAA batteries, so you'll need two packs for a full replacement. GAN recommends not mixing old and new batteries or batteries of different types. It's best to replace all four at once, because one weaker battery can shorten the life of the others and make the timer work unreliably.

A few practical tips

• Insert the batteries according to the + and - markings in the compartment.
• If the display gets dim, the timer resets by itself or shows random characters, the batteries most likely need replacing.
• If the timer won't be used for a long time, take the batteries out. This reduces the risk of leakage and damage to the contacts.
• Don't throw used batteries in the regular trash. Take them to a collection point.
