MoreTry is a brand founded by a former YJ designer, and the Tianma X3 was its first cube. The model was released in four versions that differ in their magnet system: Single, Double, Triple and Super. The MoreTry Tianma X3 Single Magnetic is the basic and simplest of them: a spring-based 3x3 cube with a classic set of magnets, in a stickerless bright colour scheme.

How it turns

The Tianma X3 is light and fast. Users rate its corner cutting highly, both regular and reverse corner cutting, as well as its smooth turning. In the Single version, the magnets are noticeably gentler than in the Double and Triple. The manufacturer specifies an auto-alignment angle of around 10 degrees. The cube only pulls the layer into place at the very end of a move, and it doesn't have the "snap" effect typical of the stronger versions. For some, that's an advantage, because turning feels lighter and less controlled. Others will prefer layers that hold more firmly. Reviews also mention that the cube is fairly loud.

Adjustment

The core has dual adjustment, which means you set spring compression and tensioning separately. The manufacturer provides 9 compression settings. This lets you set the cube looser for speed or tighter for control, without swapping springs. The pieces have a "fishscale" texture designed to reduce friction while turning.

Single, Double, Triple or Super?

All versions share the same construction and differ in their magnets. The Single has 48 magnets, the Double has 96, and the Triple has 120, including half-travel magnets that clearly pull the layer into place. Instead of springs, the Super uses MagLev. With each successive version, the weight and the strength of auto-alignment increase as well. The Single has the weakest magnets and the simplest mechanism in the whole series.

Who is it for?

It's a good choice for a first magnetic cube or for anyone who wants to move up to a speedcube without investing in a flagship model. It will also suit those who like weaker magnets and light turning. If you prefer layers that snap shut clearly and firmly, the Triple version is the better pick.
