The AoChuang V6 is the successor to the AoChuang WR M, MoYu's flagship 5x5 cube. Both the mechanism and the magnet layout have changed. The MoYu AoChuang V6 5x5 Double-Track + UV is the middle one of the three magnetic versions. It has 112 magnets, a Ball-Core and a glossy UV coating. At 60.5 mm it is compact for a 5x5 and sits comfortably in your hands, even if they are on the smaller side.

What does Double-Track mean?

The names Single, Double and Triple-Track tell you how many magnet "tracks" the cube has. The Single-Track version only has magnets between the corners and the edges. Double-Track adds a second track: magnets between the corner bases and the core. This is the cube's Ball-Core. The corners are pulled towards the centre, so the layers settle into place more readily and the cube keeps its shape during fast turning. Triple-Track adds a third track (magnets between the edge bases), for a total of 160 magnets.

How does it turn?

Users and reviewers describe the AoChuang V6 as a fast cube with a smooth feel, good corner cutting and fluid transitions between moves. Some also say it is slightly less forgiving than some of its competitors, so imprecise turning can lead to lockups more easily. The Double-Track version has a stronger magnetic feel than the Single-Track and is more stable, but it is not as "locked in" as the Triple-Track. According to the manufacturer, the widened outer layer improves stability, the improved design reduces popping, and the dragon scale elements smooth out the turns.

Which version should you choose?

Single-Track is the most affordable way to get the V6 and still a fully fledged speedcubing cube. Double-Track makes sense if you want a Ball-Core and clearer layer alignment without very strong magnetism. Triple-Track is for those who like a maximally stable, strongly magnetic feel. The weight difference between the versions is just a few grams.

Who is it for?

For cubers who can already solve the 3x3 and want to train the 5x5 seriously, and for speedcubers looking for a compact flagship 5x5. If you are just getting started with big cubes, the Single-Track version may be enough.
