This is a special edition (SE) of the MoYu AoChuang V6 5x5 in the Dual Track setup, made by Picube, a brand associated with MoYu that creates its own cube modifications. The Picube AoChuang V6 SE Dual Track Matte uses the same mechanism as the regular AoChuang V6 Dual Track, but has weaker core magnets and different springs. It also has a matte surface without UV coating. The standard Dual Track is only available in the UV version.

How it turns

Users describe this cube as fast and fairly loose right out of the box. Turning is light, including on the inner layers, so your fingers get less tired during longer sessions. Corner cutting gets very good reviews. With the loose factory setup, turning an outer layer can sometimes drag an inner layer along with it. Tighter tensioning or a proper setup usually helps. Setting it up takes a bit more work than with most cubes, because the center caps are protected against deformation.

Some people find the matte finish fairly smooth and not very different from typical glossy plastic. Keep this in mind if you are hoping for a rough, frosted feel.

How the SE differs from other AoChuang V6 versions

• Single Track has magnets only in the pieces (96 in total), without a magnetic core. It is available in matte and UV versions.
• Dual Track UV has magnets in the pieces plus a magnetic Ball-Core, which helps the cube keep its shape and align the layers. The standard version has 112 magnets in total.
• Triple Track UV has the most extensive magnetization in the series (160 magnets).
• Dual Track SE Matte is a Dual Track with a weaker core and different springs, so the feel is lighter and less "pulled" than the standard Dual Track. It has no UV coating.

Who is it for?

For cubers who want a Ball-Core in the AoChuang V6 but prefer a lighter, faster feel and a matte surface instead of UV. It suits you best if you are comfortable doing your own setup and adjusting the tensioning. If you are just starting with 5x5 or prefer layers that are held more firmly, the Single Track or the standard Dual Track UV may suit you better.
